Boat Landing

Dear Squash Lake friends and neighbors,

Volunteers for Squash Lake’s 2015 “Clean Boats, Clean Water”  have an opportunity to make Squash Lake boaters more aware of the impact of aquatic invasive species on our northern Wisconsin lakes.  Checking boats and trailers as they enter and leave the Squash Lake boat landing reminds local and out-of-the area visitors to be alert for invasives that may have “hitched a ride” on their boat or trailer.  The easy-to-understand form simplifies and speeds up the process for both boat landing monitors and boaters:  New CBCW Form for Boat Landing Monitors

The Squash Lake Association Shelter at the boat landing houses educational materials, T-shirts and badges to identify volunteers and also offers cover in the event of inclement weather.

Volunteer shifts are a short 2 hours each, a quick and convenient fit for busy summer schedules.  If you are a new volunteer, training for “Clean Boats, Clean Water” can be accomplished in one easy session.
